My Creative Time 98th Edition Release Blog Hop and Sale!!

Welcome this month's blog hop for the 98th Edition Release from My Creative Time!!  Even though this is a smaller release, it will have you covered for Valentines Day and beyond! Stay tuned to the end of this post for details on the Freebie and Sale as well as the full hop lineup!!

For my project today, I've used the Freebie Die for this month! It's the Fun Sized Heart Bow Die and it is adorable!! I've also made a shaker card, which I rarely do!!

I used and modified one die cut from the recently released Jar Treat Die to create a shaker.

This was very easy and I'll show you how!  Die cut the stitched layer of the jar, twice. Simply cut around the inside of one of the die cuts to create a frame. It doesn't matter that the top is open as this will have foam tape to seal it off.

It can also be ugly under there as the "fabric" topper of the jar will cover it :)! On the second die cut (the one not cut up), I inked some light blue ink around the edges as well as adhered some die cut hearts directly on it. The sequins will shake around but the hearts will remain in place. I like this because there will always be something floating in the jar.

After the sequins were in place, I added the frame portion, with the acetate attached, one top. I pressed everything together to make sure it was sealed well.

The Fun Sized Heart Bow Die is actually a great size to decorate the jar!  I just went with a simple white bow to really contract against the pink jar topper.  I stamped a sentiment from the Jar Treat Sentiments onto a white circle cut using one of the smaller dies from the Bunch of Fun Circles Die Set.

I made a 4X4 inch card and embossed the front of it using a polka dot embossing folder. I adhered the jar and sentiment to the card base with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. And that's the finished card!!

There are two other sizes of Heart Bow Dies in this release and they are all just as sweet!!

My Creative Time 93rd Edition Release Blog Hop and Sale!

Today is the day!! All the fabulous products we've been showing you this week are now available to purchase in the My Creative Time Shoppe!!

I used the new I Have Faith in You Stamp and Die Set for my project today. I adore this wreath image but wanted to try something a little different!

I stamped the wreath, did some simple no-line colouring and die cut as it was intended.  I decided to snip the bow portion off and create more of a garland than a wreath. I love how it turned out. There are so many more possibilities with this image than just using it as intended!

For a bit of contrast on this card, I used the Grainy Wood Background Stamp with Barely Beige Ink from Simon Says Stamp. It's "barely" noticeable but it does create a bit of texture.  I decided to cut down the stamped panel using one of the More Stitched Edges Dies which creates the look of torn paper...so cool!

I adhered the woodgrain stamped cardstock directly onto a white card base. I added a ton of foam adhesive to the floral images and adhered that down over top.  The sentiment comes from the same stamp set and was stamped in a slightly darker shade of ink.

And because I can't get enough of these white gems, I added a ton of them!!  I hope you enjoyed today's card and are able to see the possibilities of this set!!  Here is the full blog hop list! Prepared to be amazed and inspired :)

Thank so much for joining us!! Up next is the super talented Miss Ruthie!!

My Creative Time 92nd Edition Release Blog and Sale!!

Welcome back! Today is the day where all the goodies we've been showing you this week are released!! You should have arrived from Kendra's blog but if you happen to be lost, the complete blog hop lineup will be below!

For my project today, I combined two of the new products. I used the Sweet Little Smile Stamp and Die Set along with the Lace Border Die.

I created a little scene using the two sweet elephants from the Sweet Little Smile Stamp Set.  I watercolored them using the Vintage Pastels palette from Prima.  I used one of the border dies from the Floating Cloud Die Set to create a stencil. I used a light blue ink to add the clouds to the front of a white card base. The "hill" was made from the new Lace Border Die.  I added a light green ink along with some scribbles with a green pencil to create some texture.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock cut with one of the Stitched Round Speech Bubbles. Everything was foam mounted onto the inked up, cloudy card base.  I did a few white gel pen details to the elephants onesies although there are stamps in this set that add detail!

I thought it needed just a little extra something, so I added a few small butterflies from the Mini Butterflies Die Set. And that completed this card! Thank you for hopping along with us today and Happy Shopping!!

MCT 91st Release Blog Hop and Sale!

Welcome to the 91st Edition Release from My Creative Time!! I hope you've enjoyed all the lovely sneak peeks this week!  It's definately been a party this week but it's not over yet!  You'll find the complete blog hop lineup at the end of this post along with details on the Freebie Die and Giveaway!!

For my project today, I've created a wedding card using the new Cake Lollipop Holder and Add-Ons. I almost always do this with these lolli die sets, just because they're so versatile and because I never have lollipops on hand :)

This is a bright and sparkly card made with glitter and foil paper along with some silver heat embossing!  And not a colour combo that I'd ever think I'd use!

That cake is so adorable and so fun to decorate! The sentiment comes from the recently released Best Day Ever Stamp and Die Set.  I love the font on this set and that the dies cut out each word perfectly!
To add a little extra something to the cake, I used a small flower and some leaves from the Stitched Pretty Flowers and Leaves Die Set.

90th Edition Release Blog Hop and Sale for My Creative Time!!

Welcome to another awesome blog hop for the 90th Edition Release from My Creative Time!!  Wow, 90 releases and they just keep getting better and better!! You likely arrived from the awesome Miss Kendra's Blog.  If not, you can find the full hop list Here!!

I've got THREE card to share with you featuring the new Zig Zag Background Die!!  I absolutely love background dies but I know the price point is often a bit higher. So, I wanted to show you how you can get a little more mileage out of these dies.

You may remember from Tuesday's post, I used an inlay die cut technique using black and white cardstock. Well, this resulted in me having an extra panel in the reverse colours. This is one great thing about background dies, you will often get two projects out of one pass through the die cutting machine!!  Just like on my Tuesday card, I paired a bright colour to contrast with the black/white background..

I die cut the Big Hello Die and the hearts from the 2X2 Noteholder Add-Ons out of a bright pink cardstock.  And instead of using the die in portrait orientation, I used it in landscape, which gives a whole new look to this die!

A little glitter pen on the pink die cuts is all this card needs!  Don't you just love the look of inlay die cutting??

For my next project, I decided to make a stencil out of the background die.  This is just another awesome technique you can do!  I did use a light weight cardstock to create the stencil.  I tried on copy paper and it was just too thin.  But the bonus of this was I, again, got two projects!

The piece on the left is the "stencil", the piece on the right was made using the "stencil".  I love both looks!

After cutting the stencilled piece down with the second largest More Stitched Rectangular Dies, I used the flowers from the 2X2 Noteholder Add-Ons to decorate it.  I used some bright ink colours for the flower so they would stand out against the background.

The sentiment comes from the new Hello Gorgeous Stamp Set and was stamped on a Strip Sentiment Die!  The stems of the flowers come from the Stitched Pretty Flower and Leaves Die Set.

The next and final card is made using the actual "stencil" or background die.  Because I love those zig zags and that colour, I didn't want to cover up too much of the background.

I used the Lucky Bird Die and chose a nice bright yellow shade for good contrast!  The branch comes from the A Friend Like You Stamp & Die Set.  This created a nice focal point but didn't take away from that awesome background!!

The sentiment comes from the A Beautiful Day Stamp & Die Set which again, fit perfectly onto the new Strip Sentiment Dies!!

Here's a look at all three cards!! I'd love to know which is your favourite!!

Your next stop is the talented Miss Ruthie!!  Thank you so, so much for hopping along with us today!  I hope you've found some inspiration and are able to pick up some of this fabulous release!!

My Creative Time 88th Edition Release

Hello friends!! First off, I'm so sorry that I haven't participated in this week's sneak peeks!!  My happy mail took a bit longer to arrive this time which left no time to create:(.  But I'm happy to say that they are receiving some love now!!

For my project today, I'm featuring the brand new Peeking Bunny Die which happened to be the freebie this month!  It is listed in the shop now for purchase which means 25 of you were very lucky and got yours for free!!!

I created a little window scene by using a rectangle die to cut out a portion of a white piece of cardstock cut with the largest Stitched Postage Frame Dies.  I backed it with a piece of light blue patterned paper.  To create the "curtains" and the window ledge, I used the scalloped die from the new  Basket Tag Die Set. I layered three pieces, cut from patterned paper, to create a fuller look.

The bunny was cut from ivory cardstock and then lightly inked with a beige ink and a pink ink.

I love how the paws are cut separately to give the appearance of the bunny peeking over the ledge!  Before foam mounting the entire panel to a kraft card base, I masked a portion of a sentiment from the new Basket Tag Sentiments Stamp Set in a smokey grey ink.  And I apologize for not taking a photo of the inside of the card, but the sentiment continues which says "amazing"!

I finished off by adding a couple of Stitched Cartoon Cloud Dies (on sale!) and a small butterfly from the Mini Butterflies Die Set. A few touches of clear sparkle and this card was done!!
