$25 Gift Card (Regular Priced Items)

Here is what I made..

I cut strips of white cardstock 2.5 X 6 inches then cut them each diagonally to create the "sun rays".  On an inexpensive piece of cardstock the same size as my base I adhered a piece of patterned paper. I lined up my rays starting from the centre.  I then embossed that entire piece with a 3D hearts embossing folder.  On the centre stitched circle die, I stamped my greeting first then lightly inked the background with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  I stamped some eggs from the Bunny Trails stamp set onto some white and patterned papers.  The little eyes and glasses from the Farmers Market stamp set fit perfectly on those eggs!!!  I foam mounted the circle to the centre of the panel, then adhered that directly to my card base.

And of coarse, finished it off with a sprinkling of Pastel sequins!!

Here is what I made..

I chose to go with the "color" inspiration.  I did a lot of die-cutting on this card, which is ok because I LOVE die-cutting!!!  I actually found all this cardstock in my scraps pile...bonus!!! And I'm just going to point this out, but that scalloped border fits EXACTLY into to the largest of the Fancy Frames Dies!!! I coloured the sweet chick using my Spectrum Noir markers, added a little sparkle to his belly then added Glossy Accents! I die cut the "hello" die into the large speech bubble die and matted it with yellow.  I also inlaid this die cut into my background.  To finish off I used some Pixie Dust sequins.

No-Line Watercolor...Mermaid!!

Hello everyone!!  I'm here to share a little no-line watercoloring with you using an image from the fabulous new stamp set, Magical Wishes.  This set is full of super adorable, whimsical images that are majorly fun to color!!!

I'm a rookie when it comes to watercolour, never mind NO-LINE watercolour!!  So, looking back I probably should have used a simpler image to use this technique on.  But I desperately wanted to use this mermaid!!!  This took me probably an hour and a half to color but in the end, I was pretty happy with the results :)

After I was done with the colouring, I die cut the panel as well as a blue cardstock panel using the Fancy Frames dies.  I used my paper trimmer to cut just up to the image then fussy cut around her.  I masked of her lower portion and did some simple ink blending to somewhat represent sand/grass. I die cut 3 clouds from the Sky is the Limit stamp/ die set and adhered those to the blue panel.  I used foam adhesive to mount the focal panel.  And although it's hard to tell in the photos, I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter brush for some sparkle!!  To finish the card off, I used a sprinkling of the Fairy Dust Sequin Mix.

Hope you enjoyed and are able to check out these fabulous new stamps!!

Spring Flowers by Simon Says Stamp

Hello everyone!!  It seems like forever since I've shared a personal blog post (nothing DT related)!!

I wanted to share a card I made using the Simon Says Stamp Spring Flowers stamp set from their Reason to Smile Release.  When I saw this set I knew I had to have it!!

I started by heat embossing the images with Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder (LOVE THIS STUFF) onto some black cardstock.  I then cut the centre of the panel out using the Simon Says Stamp  Postage Stamp Edge Dies.

On the cut out piece I partially coloured the images with a white pencil and a blending pencil...wow, this worked so well!!

I adhered the negative piece of the die flush to my card base and foam mounted the positive piece back in...PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I'M GETTING THE POSITIVE/NEGATIVE THING RIGHT!!  I GET SO CONFUSED WITH THAT :)

After looking at the card I decided it needed a bit of color, so I placed a few Mint Green Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.

I also just got the Tilted Banner Sayings and co-ordinating dies (love this set), and decided to make this a Thank-You card.

As you can see, the effect is very subtle. I did add some glitter using the Crafter's Companion Clear Sparkle Overlay brush pen.

Here is what I made..

This challenge is right up my alley..I love layers on a card!!  Shall we say I haven't quite mastered the clean and simple, one layer cards.  Although, I do love them!!  I started with the largest die from the Fancy Frames die set and worked my way up.  Next came the Fancy Stitched Labels dies, the Tag Essentials dies and finally the Stitched in Circles dies!!  The little pink leaves are from Autumn Wishes, not stamped, just die cut and embellished with a white gel pen.
The super adorable fox is from the stamp set, Chilly, and coloured with coloured pencils.  And I, of course, had to use my white gel pen on him as well!!  I finished it off with a small piece of grey ribbon and a few yellow enamel dots.  I really hope you enjoy this card!!
