Colours of Summer Challenge with Create A Smile Stamps!

Welcome to another fab challenge hosted by Create A Smile Stamps! This is going to be fun and I think fairly easy!  The theme this time around is "Colours of Summer".

When I think about summertime colours, I instantly gravitate towards sherberty shades. I chose pink, yellow and aqua.

I used the hot air balloon and cloud images from the Scene Builders Stamp Set. I used my Copic markers for the colouring.  I cut down a white panel with the second largest die from the Scalloped Rectangles Dies.  But before adding my balloons I incorporated a light shade of purple to the background, Shaded Lilac Distress Ink to be exact.

To create the cloudy background, I used the Cloud Stencil from MFT stamps.

The "you" word die is from the You Twice Cool Cuts set which works perfectly with the All About You Stamp Set.  I also added the Shaded Lilac Ink to the die cut as well.  I adhered the stencilled panel onto a white card base, adhered the balloons with foam adhesive and cut multiple layers of the "you" die to create dimension.

I added a few iridescent sequins, white gel pen details and Nuvo Crystal glaze to a few areas.  And that completed this card!

I hope you enjoyed and will play along with us! There's a €25 gift certificate to the Create A Smile Stamps Store!!

Please link up your creation to the Create A Smile Stamps Challenge Blog where you will also find all the details about the challenge!

I cannot wait to see what you create!

I Need A Favour with My Creative Time!

Welcome to a post all about favours!!  Party favours, I mean!  If you're unfamiliar with the amazing line of dies offered at My Creative Time, you must check them out!  Emma has everything you could possibly need when planning out ways to give tiny gifts or candy!!

I chose to show you a quick way to make wedding favours or bridal shower favours. Although, this can be switched up for any occasion. I just really wanted to use the new His & Hers Dies!!

I used the adorable Mini Gift Box Die which comes together in a snap and requires no adhesive. So, if you need a whole lot of favour boxes, this is the one for you!!  I die cut all the elements from the His&Hers Dies out of white, pink and black cardstock and simply adhered them to the front and back of the box.

I added a piece of black and white twine to tie the box together. I used one of the Stitched Decorative Banner Dies and stamped a sentiment from the Healing Wishes Stamp and Die Set which I attached along with the twine.

Of course, no love themed project would be complete with hearts. I took all three sizes of hearts from the 2X2 Note Holder Die and Add-Ons, layered them up and added them to the blank side of the box.

Like I said, if you need a lot of these, they come together so quickly!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great week!

My Creative Time 92nd Edition Release Blog and Sale!!

Welcome back! Today is the day where all the goodies we've been showing you this week are released!! You should have arrived from Kendra's blog but if you happen to be lost, the complete blog hop lineup will be below!

For my project today, I combined two of the new products. I used the Sweet Little Smile Stamp and Die Set along with the Lace Border Die.

I created a little scene using the two sweet elephants from the Sweet Little Smile Stamp Set.  I watercolored them using the Vintage Pastels palette from Prima.  I used one of the border dies from the Floating Cloud Die Set to create a stencil. I used a light blue ink to add the clouds to the front of a white card base. The "hill" was made from the new Lace Border Die.  I added a light green ink along with some scribbles with a green pencil to create some texture.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock cut with one of the Stitched Round Speech Bubbles. Everything was foam mounted onto the inked up, cloudy card base.  I did a few white gel pen details to the elephants onesies although there are stamps in this set that add detail!

I thought it needed just a little extra something, so I added a few small butterflies from the Mini Butterflies Die Set. And that completed this card! Thank you for hopping along with us today and Happy Shopping!!

Sneak Peek #4...My Creative Time!

Well, this is it! The last day of sneak peeks for the 92nd Edition Release for My Creative Time!  All products will be available for purchase tomorrow along with a blog hop to inspire you!!

We are taking a look at the FREEBIE set of dies today! This one is super fun, goes along with the wedding theme but is definitely not limited to only that!! This set of dies is called the His & Hers Dies and is super cute!

I went with another wedding card today but by switching up the sentiment, it could easily be used as an anniversary card or even an I love You card!

This was super quick to make!  I die cut the pieces out of white cardstock and used some dye inks and a sponge dauber to add colour. For the "pearl necklace", I added some sparkle pen and a layer of Nuvo Crystal Glaze, which I also added to the lips!

The "Mr" and "Mrs" comes from the Save Our Day Stamp Set. I snipped apart the stamp to remove the ampersand and replaced it with this cute die from the Stitched Message Bubble Dies (ON SALE BIG TIME!!).  I foam mounted the die cut onto a panel of white cardstock cut with one of my favourite set of dies, the XOXO Border Dies.

I used a grey card base which I used a simple diagonal striped embossing folder on.  This card literally took a few minutes to make!!

I hope you enjoyed our week of peeks and are ready to shop tomorrow! Remember to join us for our blog hop as well where you'll see tons of inspiration for this release!!

Sneak Peek Day 3 for My Creative Time!

We're halfway through sneak peeks for the upcoming 92nd Edition Release for My Creative Time! We've had a couple days of baby themed products, now it's time to switch gears to wedding season!!

We are showing you two brand new products today! One stamp and die set and one stand alone die.  Both beautiful, both must haves! Let's start with the die. It's called the Lace Border Die.  This die is both smart and gorgeous. Gate fold cards seem to be all the rage right now and this die makes it easy for you to make them.  It cuts a gorgeous rounded, lacy edge on one side and a score line on the other. So, when you line the edge of the die onto a card base, it will only cut the frilly portion and leave the card base in tact. I hope this makes a bit of sense.

I used this die to cut two edges for a simple, square card.  I had some scrap grey cardstock and thought it looked lovely on top of an ivory card base.  Note: the size of this die is much larger than shown here. I've trimmed it down quite a bit!!

The detail on this die is just beautiful!

Now onto my second card and my favourite of this release!  I used the new Save Our Date Stamp and Die set for this card.  Along with a little ink blending and I just love how this card turned out!

This die set is so awesome! Die cut in black with a few white accents against the sunset Distress Ink background, it just pops!! The cans on the back of the car are a separate die so you can add them if you want. I think you could use this die for a non-wedding card as well. Just snip the veil off!

I love that small "congratulations" sentiment that comes in the stamp set. It fit perfectly!

And that's today's sneak peek! Hope you enjoyed!

Sneak Peek Day 2 for My Creative Time!

It's Day 2 and we have another adorable sneak peek for you!!  This is the 92nd Edition Release for My Creative Time and it is spectacular!!

Today, we are showing you another baby themed die set. It's called Bottle Favour Dies and would be perfect for baby shower favour gifts!  Now, of course you know me by now and like to get the most out of my dies so I did not make a favour with this set.  I made a shaker card!!

To put this favour box together, as intended, you simply cut out two of the shapes. The die creates score lines with tabs for you to adhere together to form the box.  I only die cut once then trimmed off the flaps.

I took a small die from the Bunch of Fun Circles Die Set and cut a window in the centre of the bottle. After assembling the shaker I popped the bottle onto a white panel, then a striped scalloped panel and then onto a scalloped card base. All those dies are a part of the Scalloped Stitched Rectangular Dies.

The sentiment comes from the The Best Day Ever Stamp and Die Set.  In shades of purple and pink, this would make a great baby girl card.

Thanks for joining us for Day 2 of sneak peeks! See you tomorrow when we change from babies to weddings!

Sneak Peek Day for My Creative Time!

Welcome to another week of sneak peeks for the upcoming 92nd Edition Release from My Creative Time! It's all about weddings and babies this month..super adorable!

Today, we're having a little look at the new stamp and die set called Sweet Little Smile.  This adorable set has the sweetest elephant images along with some of the most unique sentiments!

I created a panel using Distress Resist Spray and some hand drawn, watercolored hearts.  I am a bit obsessed with the Vintage Pastels Watercolour palette from Prima.  The colours are perfect for baby cards!

I painted in the elephant with the same watercolour set. This is kind of an odd shaped card as I made a couple of errors which resulted in the panel getting smaller, haha

The sentiment also comes from the same set. I stamped it out and fussy cut around it then popped it up on some foam adhesive.  I added a sweet bow and a few confetti pieces. Quick, easy and oh so cute!

Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow for another adorable sneak peek!!

Studio Katia 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop!!

Hello, hello!! Welcome to Studio Katia's 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop!  I'm honoured to be hopping along today!  We are celebrating with this 2 day blog hop and new release. This release includes 5 new clear stamp sets and 1 set of co-ordinating dies, 1 new stand alone Creative Die, 2 new stencils and Many new embellishments!!  You should have arrived from the lovely Ilda's blog and I'm the last stop of the hop today.  The full hop list will be below!

Now onto my projects!  Ever since Kobi the bear made his debut, I've been smitten. I love this adorable guy!  I used the new Kobi Makes A Wish Stamp Set along with the co-ordinating dies for my first card.

He's just so cute!!!  I used the Grid Stencil and embossing paste to add some texture to the background. I coloured all the images in purples and blues. I think this could be given to both guy or girl!  The balloons actually come from another Kobi set, the Kobi Bearing Gifts Stamp Set. I love how all these sets can be used together!  I stamped the sentiment onto one of the Label Message Dies which I also coloured in blue.  To finish off, I added some of the brand new Silver Fever Fusion Sequins. These are SO COOL!! They look like tiny rainbows when the light hits them!

I added a bit of Nuvo Crystal Glaze to some parts of the images as well as a bit of glitter pen!

My next card uses the new Birthday Balloons Duo Stencil.  This is going to be a must have in your stash! I'm terrible at colouring balloons especially when they are overlapping. I cannot get them to look transparent enough so one colour shows through the other...does that make sense?!  This stencil makes it so easy to create beautiful balloon backgrounds.

I used a variety of Distress Inks that I knew would layer okay. I used the stencil with the most and the smallest balloons first then layered the other stencil over it. This set of stencils could be used in so many ways!  After the inking, I flicked some water onto the panel and trimmed it down.  Once it was completely dry, I added that large, beautiful sentiment from the new It's Your Birthday Stamp Set.  I heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.

To set the balloon panel apart from the white card base, I added a layer of striped, pink paper.  To finish this card off, I used some Shimmering Ice sequins.

My last card of the day, features the new Shaker Balloon Die Set. Another cute die with a lot of possibilities!

This die features the SK signature dot detail and cuts a small, inner frame.  I die cut the balloon from a panel cut from the Dotted Patterns Set 1 which I then ran through with a polka dot embossing folder. I filled the shaker with a combination of Crystal Clear Confetti, the new Pastel Rainbow Confetti and a few Silver Polka Sequins.

I adhered the shaker panel onto a white and yellow dotted paper and adhered everything to a white card base.

I added the bow (included in this die set) and a piece of black and white twine for the balloon string. It was at this point that I realized I hadn't planned on a sentiment, of course.  Luckily, I used craft foam behind the shaker panel so I had a firm background for stamping. AND even more lucky, there was a sentiment small enough in the It's Your Birthday Stamp Set to fit in between the embossed dots!! Phew!

And those are all my projects! I hope you enjoyed and found a little inspiration for this fabulous new release!!  Now, onto the super exciting details on how you have a chance to win some amazing prizes!

Favourite Stamp Set Challenge with Create A Smile Stamps!

Welcome to another Create A Smile Stamps Challenge!!  For the next couple of weeks we will be sharing our favourite CAS stamp set.  Obviously, I love all the sets in the store but one of my true faves is the Funky Feathers Stamp Set. This set has both solid images and outline images. I used one of the outlines.

I white heat embossed the same image numerous times and used some "rainbow-like" Distress Ink colours to ink them up. I fussy cut each feather and arranged them onto a white panel.  Using a piece of Glad Press N Seal, I picked all the feathers up at once and applied foam adhesive to the backs.

I adhered the white panel onto a grey card base. The sentiment comes from another of my favourite sets, All About You.  I stamped it with black ink onto a white strip.  I used foam adhesive to adhere this as well.

I added a few clear sequins for a little shine and called this card done!

I hope you'll play along with us this time around! It's a fun and easy challenge!  There's a €25 up for grabs!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
