Congrats!!!

Hello everyone!! Laurie here to share a "Congrats" card with you.  This idea has been in my head for quite some time,  I just wasn't sure exactly how to execute it.  The Tag It stamp set is a great set to make tags, obviously.  But there is one particular image in that set that I thought I could do something "different" with.

I wanted to create a background pattern.  I picked some spring colors..yellow, pink, blue and orange.
This is the pattern I came up with...

After stamping my background, I used the largest scallop die from the Fancy Frames Die set to cut this panel.  This is where I got a little stuck with my design.  I really liked how this turned out, but it was far too plain!!  I used the Party Dies set and die cut the ribbon image from cardstock that matched the inks.  I adhered the ribbons to the inside of each "tag" image.

Of course, I didn't actually plan for a sentiment...for some reason it's always an afterthought :)
I lucked out and found that the "Congrats" from the Be Inspired stamp set fit well between the stamped tags.  To finish off, I die cut some scrap vellum with the Heart of Hearts die and adhered a few of the hearts to the card (I adhered them with Multi Medium Matte, the glue did not show at all!)
I added a few clear rhinestones to the centre of each ribbon for a bit of bling.

I hope you enjoyed today's project!!

Here is what I made..

I do not make a lot of shaker cards.  I love them, I just have a hard time making them!!  I don't own a fuse tool or even have extra acetate packaging kicking around...that's how often I make them :).  So I had to think outside the box for this card.  I ended up using a CD storage pocket for my shaker, as I do have A LOT of those.  I trimmed a white piece of cardstock to 4.25 X 4.25 and embossed it with a dot embossing folder.  I die cut the word "Big" three times and adhered them together then glued that to the embossed panel.  I stamped all the layers for the flowers and the leaves to create those pretty flowers and also adhered them onto the base panel.  At this point I realized I didn't actually have a sentiment stamped...of course.  So, out came my MISTI to help me stamp the word Hugs.  I slipped the panel into the CD pocket and added some tiny hearts, yellow sequins and a few silver hearts confetti.  I adhered the pocket closed with some double sided adhesive and BOOM, done!!  To finish off, I tied a piece of black ribbon around the top and then adhered the entire shaker onto a square card base (this will hide the back of the pocket).  This card measures 5X5.

I hope you enjoyed my shaker card and play along with us for this Linky Party!!

Welcome to the CDD April Product Release Blog Hop.
All stamps are in the CDD Shop and now available for purchase HERE.

Melon Drop

Moonlit Kisses

Violet Flicker

Here's what I've created for you...

My first card uses the new Flowers In Bloom stamp set.  I wanted to try something a bit different, so I got out some felt that I've had in my stash forever!  I stamped the images using StazOn Ink then fussy cut them out. I arranged the flowers and leaves around a die cut circle frame (using the Stitched in Circles Dies).

I added small clear rhinestones to the centre of the flowers to add a little sparkle.

The sentiment is from Be Inspired. Everything was adhered to a white panel cut from Fancy Frames dies, then adhered to a white card base.

For my second project I used the new Picture Frame Dies, Wishful Thoughts Stamp Set and Wishful Thoughts Dies and Botanical Layers.

I started by colouring three of the same flower in a shade of fuchsia, pink and purple.  I used watercolor paper and waterbased markers.  I fussy cut the images out. I then die cut the word Sorry from black cardstock three times and adhered them together to create a dimensional die cut. To finish off this "clean" card I added a purple banner using the Mini Banner Die.

This die set has quickly become one of my faves!

I hope you like what I've created for you and that you're having fun and getting excited for these new products!!

Here is what I made..

I love this theme!!  Black and white can be so elegant but dressed up with a splash of color it can become fun and cheerful!!  I stamped and die cut 7 clouds and the sun from The Sky is the Limit stamp and die set.  I used the Fancy Frames dies set as a starting point.  I adhered some of the clouds straight to the base and some I popped up with foam adhesive.  I embossed the sun die cut with a heart embossing folder then rubbed the entire thing with my Versamark ink pad. I used some Clear Sparkle embossing powder.  I wanted that bright sun to POP!!

I tucked the sun behind the clouds.  I white heat embossed the sentiment and added a few yellow candy dots.

Paper Smooches Black/White with A Pop of Color Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I hope you are enjoying your Sunday!! It is currently snowing where I live, certainly not very spring-like :(  So I headed to my craft room to make a project for the new April Paper Smooches Challenge.  The Challenge?? Black/White with a Pop of Color!!  I love challenges like these!

Here is what I've thought up...

I started by stamping one of the glasses images from Incognito in VersaFine Black Onyx ink. I die cut  a frame from the Fancy Frame Icon Dies.  I then die cut several glasses from the Glasses Die Set in black cardstock and once in silver glitter paper. I adhered them all together to create a nice thick die cut.  I inlaid the fancy frame back onto the glasses panel after I stamped the sentiment from Fun And Flirty.  I adhered my die cut glasses on top of the frame and under the sentiment.

I first added Glossy Accents to the "lenses" of the glitter glasses...which I think looks great.  But then I got carried away and decided to add G.A to all the glasses.  I'm not a fan of how it looks but this was the second attempt at this card already!!

To top it off, I added some flat red hearts and a set of lips under the glasses...

Hope you like!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

OH, Baby!!

Hello friends!!  I realize today is April Fools Day and believe me, I tried to think of a clever card to play a joke, but I in the end I decided on a cutesy baby card.  I am not really in any need of baby cards but I went through my CDD stamps and dies and picked out a few critter images and this is what I came up with!!

I chose a panda, a mouse and a giraffe.  I colored each image with my Spectrum Noir markers.  For some reason, I really wanted a pink giraffe!!  I die cut the banner from the Party Dies set from grey cardstock and some yellow polka dot patterned paper.

I started by adhering the banner and the inner pieces. I adhered the giraffe directly to the panel and popped up the mouse and the bear.  I thought it was missing something, so I die cut a balloon and string (also from the Party Dies set) and made it look like the mouse was holding it. And to finish it off, I stamped the sentiment from Bitty Blessings.

And of course, no card is complete without a little bit of glitter pen and a touch of Glossy Accents!!

I hope you enjoyed and didn't get fooled too badly today :)
