I've never made a card using an "inspiration board" before. The board contains many pretty images with a color palette at the bottom...this is the one for the challenge:
Lot of pretty things and lovely colors, right?? Basically, my inspiration was the bottom right photo...florals, of course:)
I started my stamping/masking my images in Colorbox Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. I used the Bohemian Garden stamp set from Ellen Hutson. Now I only have the Prismacolor Scholar pencils so that's what I used. (I should mention I also have the complete set of Spectrum Noir coloured pencils but don't used them, I know, a shame. Truth be told, their system of numbering the pencils just doesn't make any sense to me. All I want is three shades of each color...with NAMES preferably...sorry, let's get back on track!)
I chose shades as close as I could get to the color palette on the inspiration board and started colouring!! This technique is awesome...I think it would be really hard to NOT get pretty results!!
After all my colouring was done, the real problems started. The sentiment. The sentiment that I didn't plan for before I stamped my flowers.
Nope!! Let's try something else...
Almost, but not quite...
Ok, so it definitely has to be vellum...and this is what I decided...
Yes!!
After placing the sentiment and a few embellishments, I matted the kraft piece on white cardstock and popped those up onto my card base.
I really loved this technique and will definitely be trying it again!!
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed!!
Stay Crafty!!
