You should have arrived from the wonderfully talented MISS KENDRA . If not, that's ok! You can find the full hop list HERE.
Yesterday, I showed you a bright and fun card using the Daisy Frame Die and some patterned paper. Well, I had one positive die cut from that paper that I just had to use! I planned to make a shaker card for you today but mistakes were made (go figure) and I went with more of a "faux shaker" card :)
I started by making a 4.25 X 4.25 white card base. I die cut 5 Daisy Frames out of inexpensive white cardstock to make the "well" of my shaker element. I adhered them all together using a spray adhesive. I found this way easier than using liquid glue. On the top of the white die cuts, I adhered the positive piece I had left over from yesterday.
THIS was the downfall of the shaker card! Instead of placing the acetate UNDER the plaid die cut, I adhered it to the back of the entire stack of die cuts...
Rookie mistake. This is when the plans changed to the faux shaker. I used the die to cut the front of my cardbase, to create a window.
Luckily, I didn't trim the acetate down so there was enough extra to fit behind the window.
I lined up the stack of dies through the opening and was able to adhere them in with the acetate. Phew, card saved! Now, I for one, don't really like the unfinished look on the inside of the card. To remedy that, I die cut the Daisy Frame Die from blue cardstock, and adhered it to the inside. I didn't bother covering the flower portion .
I added a bunch of clear sequins randomly to the from of the card with Glossy Accents. I tried to make them look messy, like they were just shaken around.
The sentiment comes from the new Spring Smiles Stamp set and was stamped on the inside of the card with a bright blue ink! Here, you can see the finished inside, front panel!
I added a couple of yellow enamel dots to the centres of each flower to break up the plaid pattern a bit.
Clean and fairly simple!
Now onto the fun stuff...

Wow, what a clever save for this beautiful card. Shaker cards are always intimidating to me and I end up doing it and then re-doing it.
