Pinkfresh Studios "Anything Goes" Challenge!

Hey there!  Today, I've decided to participate in my first ever challenge for Pinkfresh Studio!!  I love their products but sadly, don't have many.  But I dug out what I do own and had a good play!

The challenge this month is "Anything Goes".  A great and easy theme for my first entry:)

I definitely chose those colours for my inspiration!  I stamped a whole bunch of images from the Dainty Botanicals Set and used the co-ordinating dies to cut them out. (FYI: as I'm writing this post, this set is ON SALE!!!)

After die cutting all those pretty leaves, I decided they needed a bit more detail. So, I took out my coloured pencils and added some tiny strokes to each petal or leaf.

I inked up the lower portion of a white card panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and after many, many minutes, decided how to layer up and adhere all those images.  Most were adhered with liquid glue but the two at the very front are adhered with foam adhesive.

The sentiment comes from the Playful Animal Friends 2 stamp which looks to be discontinued on the PF site...sorry!!  I added a bit of white gel pen detail then foam mounted the white panel to a grey card base.  In the end, I'm pretty happy with how this card turned out!!

Playing with these goodies makes me realize I need more Pinkfresh in my craftroom!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Anything Goes with My Creative Time!

Hello my crafty friends and welcome back!!  It's "Anything Goes" today for My Creative Time and I've made a clean and simple summer themed card!

The weather here in Manitoba has been quite beautiful lately and it's full-on flip flop season! Although, as I'm writing this post, we are in the middle of a thunderstorm.  Which as long as it doesn't get too severe, it's all good because we need rain!!

Anyway, back to my card!! I started by stamping both the large and small stripe from the Build A Scripty Watercolour Background Stamp Set in a couple different shades of blue.  I actually stamped the skinnier stripe over the wider stripe.

The wider stripe is very light but you can kind of see it :).  To add a bit more pizazz to the card, I decided to do some gold heat embossing.  I used one of the stripe stamps from the Mad For Plaid Stamp and Die Set and tried to evenly space the stamping. I decided to heat emboss the sentiment as well. After all the stamping was done, I used the largest rectangle die from the More Stitched Rectangular Dies to cut the panel down.

Those cute little flip flops (or thongs as they used to be called in my day, hahaha) were made using the Sit Back and Relax Stamp and Die Set. I should also mention that the sentiment is from this set as well.

I used green fun foam to pop these flip flops up which also looks a lot like the soles!!  A few lime green enamel dots add a bit of jazz.

And that's my card for today!! I hope you enjoyed and that your summer has been "flipping' amazing" so far!!

Until next time...stay crafty!!!

Anything Goes Thursday with My Creative Time!

Hello and welcome back!!  It's Anything Goes Thursday for My Creative Time!  For today's project, I made a sweet little mini card with a friendship theme,

I went through my MCT stash and came across the Stitched Restroom Peeps die.  This is one of the very first dies I bought from Emma!  I have not used it in quite some time so I thought today was the day!

I started by die cutting two of the female images out of white cardstock and used a couple of Distress Inks to colour them.  I also cut one of the "friends" dies from the Friendships Are Forever Stamp and Die Set out of the same cardstock.

I foam mounted my peeps onto one of the circles from the Scalloped Stitched Circles Dies then mounted that onto the co-ordinating size of the scalloped die.

I layered about 4 of the "friends" die to give it some dimension. Everything was adhered directly to a 3 X 3 cardbase.

This card was quick and easy to make and would make a nice surprise to give to one of your pals!

Thank you for stopping in today!!

Until next time...stay crafty!!
