Welcome to the 97th Edition Release Blog hop for My Creative Time!  All the new products we've been sneaking over the past few days are now available for purchase!

Today I have the pleasure of working with the new Coffee Gift Card Holder Die Set. And as I hinted in my previous post, these sets are very easy to make shaped cards with. Which is what I made for you today!

This set come with a large base layer. So, simply die cut two, score one of them at the top, adhere together and voila! shaped card :)  I went through my stash of patterned paper and found this cute polka dot print that I think went really well with kraft.

You can insert your gift card on the front, open the card and write a message inside! How fun!

The sentiment comes from the Just Brew It Stamp and Die Set and fits perfectly in the circle die from the Bunch of Fun Circles Die Set. You can pair this die set with so much in your stash!!

My Creative Time Final Sneak Peek Day!!

Yesterday, we showed you the new Coffee Gift Card Holder Die. But what if you have family or friends that would prefer iced lattes, iced coffees or frappacinos?  Well, this next die set is for them!  It's called the Frap Gift Card Holder Die and it's totally awesome!

We also have a new stamp set to share today as well, called Christmas Cheer! Again, I do apologize for not having the stamp set.

Just like yesterdays sneak, this one is a lot of fun to decorate!  The large heart is part of the set and is big enough to house a substantial sentiment! This one comes from the Especially For You Stamp and Die Set.

A gift card fits in nice and snug so you'll have no worries about it getting lost.  What's fun about these dies is that they will work as is, as tags, as a focal point on a card OR even as a card itself!! Stay tuned for more about that, wink, wink!

I hope you enjoyed today's sneak peek! Make sure you come back tomorrow as we have the new release blog hop!!

My Creative Time 95th Edition Release Blog Hop & Sale!!

Welcome to this months release blog hop for My Creative Time!!  Are you ready for a ton of inspiration? I love this release SO much and have had a blast creating with it!!

For my project today, I used the new Mailbox Gift Card Holder Die Set along with the Dec. 25th Stamp Set.  I decided to make a mailbox shaped card!

I used one of my most used MCT dies to decorate the mailbox, the Lucky Bird Die. It's very easy to turn this into a shaped card. The die set comes with not only the stitched die, but also a layer die. Simply cut two of the base layer die, score one 3/4inch from the top, add adhesive and stick the two together!! Then add the stitched layer and voila, a mailbox shaped card!!

This is such a fantastic die set!

My Creative Time 95th Edition Sneak Peek #1!

Welcome back my friends!! My Creative Time has a spectacular release coming this month! Well, they're all spectacular but this one, in particular, has got my mojo going!! Emma is releasing some amazing new Christmas goodies so help with your holiday gift giving. However, most of this release can be used year round!

Today, we are starting with the Dec.25th Stamp Set and the Mailbox Gift Card Holder.  These work well on their own but pair perfectly together!

This gift card holder is adorable! I decided to decorate my mailbox with flowers made from the Flower Petal Dies. I used red cardstock to make them look Christmas-y.

A gift card fits perfectly inside the slot of the mailbox!  The sentiment is from the new Dec.25th Stamp Set and was stamped onto a label which is also included in this die set!

I love this die set SO much! It is fun and beautiful all wrapped into one!

Thank you for stopping by today! See you tomorrow for another amazing sneak peek!!

Gift Card Giving with My Creative Time!

Hey, hi, hello!!  I'm back with another project for My Creative Time!!  Ways to present gift cards are super fun and easy with many dies from Emma.  I used the Pretty Gift Card Holder Die.

This took me less than 10 minutes to make and it packs a bit of a punch!  I used a fun, plaid patterned paper for the base of the holder.  I used plain white cardstock for the fancy label, which is part of the Pretty Gift Card Holder Die Set.  To add a little something, I used the smallest die from the Scalloped Stitched Ovals Die Set for the sentiment.  The sentiment comes from the Mini Spring Greeting Set.

As you know by now, I never have gift cards (even used ones) in my house so I made my using one of the Scalloped Stitched Rectangular Dies.  This is the exact size of a gift card!!

To embellish just a little bit more, I cut a small butterfly outline using the Mini Butterfly Dies and added a few clear sequins.

I do plan to give this to my mom for Mother's Day but add an ACTUAL gift card!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Gift Card Giving with My Creative Time!

Welcome, my friends!!  It's all about ways to present a gift card!!  Gift cards are very popular but can be boring to give. My Creative Time has many die sets in the shop that make it easy to glam up those boring cards but today I decided to use some brand new products that maybe weren't intended to be used as such!

I used the new Basket Tag Die Set to create my GC holder.  This was super easy to do!! There are two parts to this die. One that cuts out the actual basket and one that cuts out a solid layer that you can adhere the basket to.  The actual basket die cuts out the front panel separately so you can foam mount it easily to create space to tuck other images/die cuts into.

It's easier to show you with this pic...

The portion that has the basket weave stamped on it (from the Basket Tag Sentiment Set) is cut separately from the die.  All I did was add a thin strip of foam tape on the bottom of the piece and after fitting my gift card, added a couple small pieces to the upper corners. This keeps the card in place yet it's very easy to slide in and out!  And speaking of gift cards, you probably know by now that I never have these on hand so I made my own.  And FYI, the 5th die from the centre of the Scalloped Stitched Rectangular Dies is the EXACT size of a credit card which means it's the exact size as a gift card!!!

Of course, I dressed up the card using the eggs that come with the Basket Tag Die Set, the Stitched Grass Die and an embossing folder!!

This was super fun to make and shows you another way to use this die set!!

As I was getting this post together, the Basket Tag Die Set is currently on backorder but you can sign up for a preorder!!

Thank you for stopping by!  See you soon!

Gift Card Giving with My Creative Time!

Hi, friends!!  Today is one of the new features for My Creative Time...gift card giving!!  Gift cards have become the #1 gift of choice but they can be a bit boring to give.  Sure, you can slide them into a store bought card (gasp!!!), or even better, a homemade card!  But if you want to step it up and make gift card giving fun and beautiful, then you must check out the array of dies from Emma's shop!!  Her designs make it fun and so easy to give the gift of gift cards!!

I used the Pretty Gift Card Holder Die for my project today. I used a light weight, white cardstock and added some heat embossing with the Build A Scripty Watercolour Background Stamp Set and Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.

That beautiful label die is included in the set!  I used a light pink cardstock to cut it out and embossed that fun sentiment which is from the new Signed, Sealed and Delivered Stamp and Die Set.  To add a bit more elegance, I stamped the butterfly from the A Beautiful Day Stamp and Die set on the same pink cardstock and embossed it using the same platinum embossing powder.

If you follow along with me, you'll know that I never have candy or gift cards on hand :(, so I decided to create my own "stage" gift card, haha!

I love that the tabs are included in the cutting of this die.  The card fits nice and snug!!

I love making these holders!  They are just as fun to decorate as a card is!!

I hope you found a little inspiration here today!  Thank you so much for stopping in, I love when you visit!!

Until next time...stay crafty!!

Laurie
