Miss You Mandala Card with Create A Smile Stamps!

Hello and happy Wednesday! I'm back to share a card made with stamps and dies from Create a Smile Stamps.

This card is not mass producible but was a lot of fun to make!  I started by doing some no-line colouring with my Lyra Coloured Pencils. I used the Mesmerizing Mandalas Stamp Set along with the No Line ink pad from The Stamp Market.

I used a few pinks shades, a purple and a turquoise to colour this image. It's actually not as tedious as it may look and didn't take that long.  When the colouring was done, I fussy cut around the mandala then trimmed in half.

I cut a panel of white cardstock with the second largest of the Scalloped Rectangles then used the same die to cut the bottom of each half of the mandala. This added the scalloped edge so it would fit nicely on the panel!

The sentiment comes from the new Miss You Mini Stamp Set and was stamped in a grey ink. I used foam tape to adhere the mandala pieces to the top and bottom of the scalloped panel.

The card base measures 3.5 X 5.25 inches. I lightly inked around the edges using Spun Sugar Distress Ink to take away some of the brightness. I used tape adhesive to adhere the panel to the card base.

I played around with some embellishments but couldn't really come up with good placement so I used my white gel pen to add some details instead!

Thanks for dropping in! See you soon!

96th Edition Release Sneak Day 2...My Creative Time!

It's Day Two of sneaks for the upcoming release from My Creative Time!  Are you excited??!!  Today, we are showing you TWO new dies!

You likely remember the Spooky Tree Tag Die from the August release.  Well, Emma has designed two more to add to this line!  I love these sets because it contains both the detailed frame portion as well as a backing.  These dies are super versatile. They can be used on a card or by simply punching a hole, can be used as a tag!

So, without further ado, here are the new Snowflake Tag Die and Christmas Tree Tag Die!!

I used the Snowflake Tag Die on a square card base and it looks fantastic. By punching a hole in the second die, it instantly becomes a tag!

I thought it would be fun to have a pink snowflake. Then, I couldn't help myself and created a VERY pink card!  But I just love non-traditional christmas colours!  By adding a few sequins inside the frame, it creates the illusion of a shaker card.

The sentiment comes from the Christmas Wishes Stamp Set.

The Christmas Tree Tag is extra fun because you can create a tiny little scene!  By adding a snow bank behind the tree and adding an ink blended sky, you get a cut little picture on a tag!

The garland, ornament and stars all pop out of the tree so they can be coloured and inlaid back in place! Again, I chose non tradition colours. The sentiment comes from the Dec 25th Stamp Set.

This makes a great tag but would also look great on your Christmas tree!

And that's day two!!  Tomorrow is probably my favourite day of sneak peeks so be sure to come for a visit!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

My Creative Time 95th Edition Sneak Day #3!

Are you ready for another awesome sneak peek from the upcoming My Creative Time release?!

We have another fun die to show you.  I happen to love this one because of its versatility!Bow dies are always fun to have in our stashes.  This particular one lies flat on your projects for easy mailing!  This die is called the Medium Holiday Bow Die.

I decided to make dimensional hanging ornaments!  These will be perfect for Christmas decorations but changing up the colours of paper, they can be used for any season!

I cut the pieces of the bow out twice. To add the dimension, I die cut the base of the bow out of craft foam.  I glued the paper die cuts onto the front and the back to the craft foam. I then added the ribbon before attaching the small, white square die cut.

I used a few of the small elements from the Holiday Envelope Die (yesterday's sneak peek!) and cut them from gold glitter paper!  I love the way these turned out and almost can't wait to set up the Christmas tree!  I plan to make a whole lot more of these!!

This release will also include a smaller version of this die called the Small Holiday Bow Die.  And stayed tuned because we have a special die and announcement coming up this Friday!!

My Creative Time 95th Edition Sneak Peek #1!

Welcome back my friends!! My Creative Time has a spectacular release coming this month! Well, they're all spectacular but this one, in particular, has got my mojo going!! Emma is releasing some amazing new Christmas goodies so help with your holiday gift giving. However, most of this release can be used year round!

Today, we are starting with the Dec.25th Stamp Set and the Mailbox Gift Card Holder.  These work well on their own but pair perfectly together!

This gift card holder is adorable! I decided to decorate my mailbox with flowers made from the Flower Petal Dies. I used red cardstock to make them look Christmas-y.

A gift card fits perfectly inside the slot of the mailbox!  The sentiment is from the new Dec.25th Stamp Set and was stamped onto a label which is also included in this die set!

I love this die set SO much! It is fun and beautiful all wrapped into one!

Thank you for stopping by today! See you tomorrow for another amazing sneak peek!!

5 Days of Christmas with My Creative Time...Day Five!!

Hello & welcome to our "5" Days of Christmas"! This week we will be sharing w/you LOTS of last minute Christmas ideas, such as cards, tags, treat holders, gift card holders & what ever else comes to mind that will help YOU get your creative juices flowing for the holiday! There will be a giveaway each day & a winner will be announced each day! Example, winner of Monday will be announced on Tuesday, winner of Tuesday will be announced on Wednesday.....and so on! All you have to do is leave your comments on each stop for a chance to win a $15 Gift Card to the My Creative Time store!
ALSO, in addition to the $15 Gift Card that will be given away each day, Emma has a special prize that she will be giving away on Friday! It’s a few of her favorite things from 2018! I hope we ALL inspire you this week!
Today, we are going to surprise you with different ideas!!  I made for you today, three paper ornaments!  I actually love making ornaments for my tree.  While I love seeing big, beautiful trees with all the large, sparkly ornaments, I cannot justify spending a lot of money on Christmas ornaments for these reasons: 1. I am a klutz. 2. They are glass. 3. They will break. 4. I have two cats that like to bat things around.

Every year, I try to make a few paper ornaments for my tree. These are fun, can be as fancy as you want, don't break and are easy to store!!

I made these using the Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies for the base of the ornament. Then used various stamps and dies to decorate them.

I used the Number Fun Dies & Add Ons Set for the "25", the Hot Chocolate Season Stamp and Die set for the mugs and candy canes as well as the More Stitched Edges Dies to create hills and ledges!  The Doily dies are perfect for ornaments as they provide a place to loop the twine!  I do back each ornament with a second die cut for stability.

What's nice about a project like this is that you don't have to worry about filling up an entire card front!  It's a small area so you can use your smaller stamps and dies, as well!!  Also, a lot of the fun is in adding the details like sequins, glitter and shine.

I really hope you are inspired to try making some paper ornaments!!  Now onto the super fun giveaway for today!!!

***GIVEAWAY*** Don’t forget to leave your comments on all of our blogs for a chance to win a $15 gift card to the My Creative Time store AND for a chance to win this prize pkg from Emma! These are a few of her favorite things from 2018!

GOOD LUCK, FRIENDS!!

Thank you so much for hanging out with us this week!  I hope you enjoyed our posts and found some Holiday Inspiration!!

25 Days of Christmas Tags with Pink & Main!!

Hello, crafty friends and welcome to a special post celebrating Day 9 of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags!! I am so excited to be a part of this and to showcase products from Pink & Main!  I encourage you to visit Tracey's blog for all the important details on how to win some amazing prizes from 26 different sponsors including Pink & Main!!

I actually don't have the Arch Tag Die Set so I thought I'd show you how I created a tag using a regular nesting die.  This is very, very easy!!  I used the 3rd smallest die from the Stitched Top Note Die Set and simply punched a hole near the top of the die. This will allow you to string ribbon or twine!

This particular die has a very elegant look to it and perfect to use as a tag.  I embellished the "tag" using the Wreath Base Die Set along with the Winter Wreath Decor Dies. For a bit of added elegance, I used some gold foil cardstock on the deer, tiny poinsettia and sprigs.

The sentiment comes from the brand new Bowtiful Stamp Set. I added some crochet ribbon that I had in my stash and that completed my tag!!

I hope you enjoyed my non-tag, tag:)

Thank you so much for stopping in today!! I appreciate your visits!

Until next time...stay crafty!!
