My Creative Time 95th Edition Release Blog Hop & Sale!!

Welcome to this months release blog hop for My Creative Time!!  Are you ready for a ton of inspiration? I love this release SO much and have had a blast creating with it!!

For my project today, I used the new Mailbox Gift Card Holder Die Set along with the Dec. 25th Stamp Set.  I decided to make a mailbox shaped card!

I used one of my most used MCT dies to decorate the mailbox, the Lucky Bird Die. It's very easy to turn this into a shaped card. The die set comes with not only the stitched die, but also a layer die. Simply cut two of the base layer die, score one 3/4inch from the top, add adhesive and stick the two together!! Then add the stitched layer and voila, a mailbox shaped card!!

This is such a fantastic die set!

We are sharing Gift Card Holders with you today!!  Gift cards are a super popular gift but pretty boring to open!  Emma has so many fabulous gift card holder dies in the shop that will make giving gift cards fun!!

I chose to use the Scalloped Stitched Envelope Die for my project today. Technically, not a gift card holder die but it works fantastic!!

I die cut this large die from some ivory cardstock and stamped a random pattern of snowflakes, hearts and dots in shades of aqua, pink and grey.  Love me some non-traditional Christmas colours!

To decorate the front of my envelope, I used the cute Santa image from the Santa Stamps Stamp and Die Set (say that 10 times quick!). The "to and from" come from this set as well which I placed on a stitched panel and a scalloped panel which are both from the Scalloped Stitched Rectangular Dies.

The best part about this envelope is the back of it!!  It is SO pretty!!

The set comes with this circle die to create "buttons" to wrap twine around.  I'm guessing you would normally use brads to secure these but I don't have such a thing so a few layered die cuts did the trick!  And look at those scallops and stitching!!!

And as you can see, a gift card fits in perfectly, with room to spare!!

I LOVE how this came together!!  And I'm in love with this die!!

I hope you were inspired enough to come back tomorrow!!

5 Days of Christmas with My Creative Time..Day Three!!

Hello & welcome to our Third Day of the "5 Days of Christmas"for My Creative Time!! Today, we are featuring quick and easy cards! Quick and easy doesn't have to mean plain or boring. Sometimes the quickest creations can turn out to be one of your best!! I decided to do a watercolour background along with a custom sentiment using alphabet dies.

This card measures approximately 5 X 3.5 inches. Only because that was the size of my watercolour paper! I quickly laid down some watercolour paint in blues and greens. As that was drying, I die cut all the letters I needed to spell "Fa la la" out of white cardstock as well as white craft foam. I used both the Lowercase Fun Dies and Upper Case Fun Dies. l used liquid glue to adhere them together. After the paint was dry, I decided to add some gold splatters using gold Perfect Pearls mixed with a bit of water.

To bring in more of the gold, I heat embossed a sentiment from the Christmas Wishes Stamp Set and fussy cut around it. The watercolour panel was glued directly to the card base. The letters were adhered with liquid glue while the fussy cut sentiment was popped up on a small piece of craft foam...I wanted to keep the heights even!

The card was truly easy and quick to make, not to mention FUN!! I hope you found a little inspiration here today!!

Today, we will be showcasing some quick and easy treat holders!! As you know, Emma carries a lot of cute and unique treat holder dies in her shop. I chose to use the Mini Gift Box Die. If you're looking for quick and easy, this one is it!! With only one pass through your die cutting machine, and technically no adhesive required, this come together fast!!

I kept these very simply, both were cut from plain, white cardstock. I die cut the treat box from patterned paper as well, and adhered it over one of the boxes.

To jazz things up a bit, I used the Number Fun Dies and Add Ons Set to die cut the number 25.  After the number were adhered to the boxes, I decided it needed a heart as well which comes from the Hot Chocolate Season Stamp and Die set and is the perfect sized heart for almost anything!!

I love the cute boxes this die creates! I can actually imagine them hanging from a tree as well!

Thank you for visiting and remember...
