Hello, hello!! Welcome to Studio Katia's 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop! I'm honoured to be hopping along today! We are celebrating with this 2 day blog hop and new release. This release includes 5 new clear stamp sets and 1 set of co-ordinating dies, 1 new stand alone Creative Die, 2 new stencils and Many new embellishments!! You should have arrived from the lovely Ilda's blog and I'm the last stop of the hop today. The full hop list will be below!
Now onto my projects! Ever since Kobi the bear made his debut, I've been smitten. I love this adorable guy! I used the new Kobi Makes A Wish Stamp Set along with the co-ordinating dies for my first card.
He's just so cute!!! I used the Grid Stencil and embossing paste to add some texture to the background. I coloured all the images in purples and blues. I think this could be given to both guy or girl! The balloons actually come from another Kobi set, the Kobi Bearing Gifts Stamp Set. I love how all these sets can be used together! I stamped the sentiment onto one of the Label Message Dies which I also coloured in blue. To finish off, I added some of the brand new Silver Fever Fusion Sequins. These are SO COOL!! They look like tiny rainbows when the light hits them!
I added a bit of Nuvo Crystal Glaze to some parts of the images as well as a bit of glitter pen!
My next card uses the new Birthday Balloons Duo Stencil. This is going to be a must have in your stash! I'm terrible at colouring balloons especially when they are overlapping. I cannot get them to look transparent enough so one colour shows through the other...does that make sense?! This stencil makes it so easy to create beautiful balloon backgrounds.
I used a variety of Distress Inks that I knew would layer okay. I used the stencil with the most and the smallest balloons first then layered the other stencil over it. This set of stencils could be used in so many ways! After the inking, I flicked some water onto the panel and trimmed it down. Once it was completely dry, I added that large, beautiful sentiment from the new It's Your Birthday Stamp Set. I heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder.
To set the balloon panel apart from the white card base, I added a layer of striped, pink paper. To finish this card off, I used some Shimmering Ice sequins.
My last card of the day, features the new Shaker Balloon Die Set. Another cute die with a lot of possibilities!
This die features the SK signature dot detail and cuts a small, inner frame. I die cut the balloon from a panel cut from the Dotted Patterns Set 1 which I then ran through with a polka dot embossing folder. I filled the shaker with a combination of Crystal Clear Confetti, the new Pastel Rainbow Confetti and a few Silver Polka Sequins.
I adhered the shaker panel onto a white and yellow dotted paper and adhered everything to a white card base.
I added the bow (included in this die set) and a piece of black and white twine for the balloon string. It was at this point that I realized I hadn't planned on a sentiment, of course. Luckily, I used craft foam behind the shaker panel so I had a firm background for stamping. AND even more lucky, there was a sentiment small enough in the It's Your Birthday Stamp Set to fit in between the embossed dots!! Phew!
And those are all my projects! I hope you enjoyed and found a little inspiration for this fabulous new release!! Now, onto the super exciting details on how you have a chance to win some amazing prizes!

ReplyDeleteAll three of your cards are nice, and the thing that stands out to me is how well the backgrounds compliment the main elements! The white grid behind the bear accentuates the gifts; the thin pink border draws your eye to the center of the balloons; the dotted yellow along with the embossed dots actually help me see the confetti. Thank you.

The more I see, the more I realize that there is no such thing as too many birthday products in one's stash, especially when they're this versatile. The Kobi bear is adorable, especially with the cool color palette you chose and the sequins. And then who wouldn't love getting those beautiful balloon cards.
