YNS Challenge #192

Hello and welcome!  To get my creative mojo kick started, I perused the internet for some inspiration and a fun challenge. Your Next Stamp was the first company challenge I participated in when I started card making!

The theme of this challenge is "Thank You". I dug through my YNS stash and found one of the cutest sets called Scarf Weather. While I'm typing this post, I just discovered that this set has been discontinued...so sorry about that!

I used my pencil crayons to colour the sweet images, used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and came up with a simple scene.

I used a leaf embossing folder from Taylored Expressions to create some interest on the background panel. Again, apparently discontinued! Can you tell I've been shopping my stash lately, haha?!

This layout is a bit different for me as I usually like things to be centred. I used foam adhesive to pop everything up. And I usually always add white gel pen details!

Thank you very much for stopping in! If you're looking for a fun challenge, check this one out! But hurry, it's almost over!!

Until next time!

Create A Smile Stamps Challenge...Favourite Critter!!

Oh, this is a fun one!!  Who doesn't love critter stamps?  Especially, Create A Smile critters!!  There are so many adorable and awesome critter stamps in the CAS shop but the one I gravitated towards today was the Dress Me Up set!  If you loved playing with paper dolls as a child, this set is right up your alley!!

I dressed this adorable bear up in some girly surfing gear!  So, of course I needed to create a summery background.  I used the Focal Point Stencil to create sun rays along with a drift stencil to create some sand and water.  I started blending directly on the card base but decided to cut it down with one of the Scalloped Rectangle Dies because a) who doesn't love a good scallop? and b) I LOVE this die set and just had to use it!

The sentiment comes from the Small Sentiments Stamp Set and was stamped onto one of the Speech Bubbles Dies.

Before adhering my little scene to a card base, I decided to use the surfboard image to create a subtle background. Frankly, I have a tough time with too much white space :)

Now, it's time for you to dig out your favourite CAS critter stamp and share a project with us!  We love looking at all your fab creations! Plus, you have a chance to win a €25 gift certificate to the Create A Smile Stamp Store, yay!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!  See you soon!

Today it's all about cute critters!!!  LDRS has come out with some adorable stamp and die sets featuring our four legged, furry friends!

I used the new Kitten Caboodle Stamp and Die set for my card today! My passion right now is colouring using Copic markers so of course, that's what I did with this sweet image! I have to mention that I used the new LDRS Raven Hybrid ink to do all my stamping. This is an incredible ink! I DID NOT have to double stamp at all!!

I created a little scene by using papers from the new Pretty Perfect 6X6 Paper Pad. I chose a florals for the "wallpaper" and a polka dot pattern for the "carpet". By leaving a small gap between the two papers, it gives the illusion of a baseboard.

Before adhering my scene panel, I inked up the little ball of yarn image with the new Watermark/Emboss Ink Pad and stamped it repeatedly onto the front of a blue card base.  This gives a subtle background.

After I stamped the sentiment, I traced around it with a pencil to create a bubble shape then went over that with a black marker.  I fussy cut it out and adhered that, and all my images with foam adhesive. A few black, round accents finish this card off!!

Here's a list of all LDRS products used:
