Spread Joy not Germs Blog Hop!!!

Hello and welcome!! I'm so happy to be participating in the #spreadjoynotgerms blog hop which was put together by our friends at Catherine Pooler Designs and Hedgehog Hollow. We're coming together to make some Happy cards which we encourage you to send out during this uncertain time.
We are all experiencing something different and out of the norm. There is no better time to send out some happiness, whether it be across the globe or across the street. Let's create a card and make the world smile!

This is a MASSIVE blog hop with TONS of prizes. There are 31 sponsors who have generously donated more than 50 prizes. Please remember that these small businesses are struggling right now and still donated to this hop. Let's help them out a bit:) More details will be provided at the end of the post!

I'm using products from Pink & Main which is generously offering a $25 gift certificate to the online shop! Let's have a look at what I've created!

I went with a clean and simple design. This card could easily be massed produced. I started by cutting a white panel with the largest of the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 dies. I then placed the Mask It Circle Stencil towards the left centre of the panel. Using the Ergonomic Blending Brush, I blended some All That Jazz ink. I repeated the process by adding 2 more circles on the right side of the panel.

Using the stencil, I cut a mask out of typing paper so I could cover the lower half of the circle before stamping the florals.  These come from a fab set called Gorgeous Vases. I chose 3 different bouquets and using Versafine Black Onyx Ink stamped them inside the circles.

The sentiment comes from the Just Because Stamp Set and was stamped onto a Sentiment Strip Die. I originally had the sentiment on just a white banner but decided to add the same blue ink to make it pop of the white background.

I added a few pencil details to one of the flowers in each bouquet but this step could easily be skipped. After adding the panel to a grey card base (yes, it has white heat embossing on it) that I just happened to have in my stash, I added a few black gems and called the card done!  I think this card could be fun to send to a friend, sibling or even a neighbour. Who would you send this card to?

The next stop on this creative journey is : KAREN B.

To be eligible to win, all you need to do is leave a little love at each stop of the hop. This is a large hop and we appreciate you taking the time to comment! You don't have to comment on each stop, but your chances of winning increase with each comment you leave! I suggest maybe grabbing a coffee/tea/glass of wine to keep you company on this journey :)
Deadline to enter is April 24, 2020!!

Winners will be announced on April 27th, 2020 on both Catherine Pooler's Blog and the Hedgehog Hollow Blog!

Paper Sweeties Birthday Blog Hop!!!

Hello, friends! Welcome to a very special blog hop where Pink & Main is teaming up with Paper Sweeties to celebrate their 7th Birthday!!

I don't make many shaker cards but when I saw the awesome little package of Cupcake Sprinkles, I knew this was my only option, haha!!

To create the shaker window, I used the second largest Cloudy Frames Dies and die cut it in the centre of a white panel cut with the largest die in the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 dies. After gluing the acetate to the back side of the panel, I adhered the frame portion on top.  I did add 2 layers of foam tape behind the window as these sequins are a bit thick.

I used the beautiful "congrats" sweet cuts from Paper Sweeties, which I coloured with alcohol markers to give an ombre effect.  I used a few images from the Bee Happy Stamp Set from Pink & Main. I coloured them with alcohol markers, as well, and used the co-ordinating dies to cut them out.

Before putting my shaker element onto the card base, I stamped a sub sentiment from the brand new Going Places Stamp Set from P&M. I think this sentiment is awesome! This card can be given for pretty much any occasion where a congrats are in order!

I foam mounted all the bees, glued the congrats die cut down and added the shaker to a white A2 card base.  A few touches of glitter pen and this card is done!

Thank you for hopping along with us today! Now, what's up for grabs??!!

Pink & Main is giving away 1 (one) $25 Surprise Pack! And the Paper Sweeties is offering a 25% discount TODAY on their online shop!  To be eligible to win, you must leave some love on each stop of the hop!! The winner of the surprise package will be announced on the P&M Blog on Wednesday, August 28th!

Wild About You with Pink & Main!!

Hello, friends! Welcome back! While the Pink&Main Blog is getting an exciting new look, I'm sharing my latest creation here!

I used the fun, new set called Toucan Do It stamp set and co-ordinating dies for this card along with some fun ink blending.

I started by die cutting a white panel of cardstock using the largest of the Stitched Rectangles Set 2.  I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to add some base colour. I focused on the bottom left portion. I then placed the Puffy Hearts Stencil over top and used the same ink, with a harder pressure. This creates such a beautiful look!

I stamped that adorable alligator with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and used my Copic markers to colour it in.  I cut the image out with the co-ordinating die.

I adhered the heart panel onto a white card base and used foam adhesive to adhere the alligator.  I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I decided to leave it as it was and not add any sort of embellishment...which is hard for me, haha! I really wanted that background to shine!

Thank you for stopping by today!! I hope you have some time to check out some of these new (and older) products in the Pink & Main Shop!!

Pink and Main 5th Birthday Blog Hop!!!!

Welcome my friends!! Today is a super special day as we are celebrating the 5th Birthday for Pink & Main!!  I've been on the design team for close to a year and have loved every minute of it!! Michelle is such a delight as well as all her amazing products.  So, Happy Birthday to this amazing company!!

Today, is also release day so the products used on my card today, are available to purchase!

I stamped a background panel using the new Party Balloons Stamp Set.  This also has co-ordinating dies but I didn't use them.  I love the solid images and the separate stamps to decorate them. I cut down the stamped panel with one of the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 Dies.

There's a new interactive element die set available today called the Pull and Flip Dies.  It creates a waterfall effect on your cards and is super cool!  The star, present and party hat dies on this card all come from this set. In retrospect, I should have used different colours on these die cuts to make them stand out a bit more.  To help a bit, I cut a Scalloped Rectangle Die from a piece of vellum and used foam tape to adhere them.

I heat embossed the sentiment (also from the Party Balloons Set) onto the vellum, then used liquid glue behind the star, present and party and adhered to the balloon panel.

I added a few Rainbow Glossy Dots for a bit of shine. If you are new to these, I highly recommend them! There is nothing else like them on the market :)

Now, onto the fun stuff...PRIZES!!

Pink & Main is kindly giving away a $50 store credit to FIVE lucky, random commenters!! Please note:  You must comment on every stop of the hop to qualify to win!!  Good luck!

Here is the entire blog hop lineup!!

25 Days of Christmas Tags with Pink & Main!!

Hello, crafty friends and welcome to a special post celebrating Day 9 of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags!! I am so excited to be a part of this and to showcase products from Pink & Main!  I encourage you to visit Tracey's blog for all the important details on how to win some amazing prizes from 26 different sponsors including Pink & Main!!

I actually don't have the Arch Tag Die Set so I thought I'd show you how I created a tag using a regular nesting die.  This is very, very easy!!  I used the 3rd smallest die from the Stitched Top Note Die Set and simply punched a hole near the top of the die. This will allow you to string ribbon or twine!

This particular die has a very elegant look to it and perfect to use as a tag.  I embellished the "tag" using the Wreath Base Die Set along with the Winter Wreath Decor Dies. For a bit of added elegance, I used some gold foil cardstock on the deer, tiny poinsettia and sprigs.

The sentiment comes from the brand new Bowtiful Stamp Set. I added some crochet ribbon that I had in my stash and that completed my tag!!

I hope you enjoyed my non-tag, tag:)

Thank you so much for stopping in today!! I appreciate your visits!

Until next time...stay crafty!!

Pink & Main and WOW Embossing Powders Blog Hop!!!

Hello crafty friends and welcome back!! Today is an exciting day as Pink & Main has teamed up with Wow Embossing Powders for a fabulous blog hop!!  This hop is jam packed with amazing inspiration from a ton of incredible designers so sit back, relax and enjoy the hop!!  If you arrived from the wonderful Kimberly's Blog, you are on the right track! If not, you can click here for the beginning of the hop!! Stay tuned until the end of this post for all the sweet details on how to win some awesome prizes!!

I was so excited to play with the Turkish Nights Embossing Glitter!! And let me tell you, it didn't disappoint!  It is so sparkly and gorgeous and worked perfectly for snowflakes. Non-traditional snowflakes, that is!

I stamped a bunch of snowflakes that are from the previously released P&M stamp set, Flurries. This is a chunky glitter so some details were lost but that didn't bother me at all!  I used the co-ordinating Flurries Dies to cut out each snowflake.  To continue on with this glittery theme, I die cut a "snowbank" using the Scallop Waves Dies and swiped the WOW Embossing Pad along the top to add  some shimmery snow.

To create a wintery background, I blended Shaded Lilac and Victorian Velvet Distress Inks onto my panel. I should mention that the panel was cut using the Cloudy Frame Dies but I only used the inner portion.

Not a super great blend (or photo, I apologize) but our beautiful snowflakes will cover most of that background!  I used the Snow Sweet Stamp set and co-ordinating dies for my focal image.  This set is filled with the cutest snow people, ever!!

I coloured these sweeties with my alcohol markers and popped them up on the blended panel.  All the snowflakes were adhered using liquid glue.

This stamp set lets you "build" your own sentiment so I chose "You're Snow Wonderful".  Because the snow is a bolder font, I was able to use the Turkish Nights embossing glitter on it as well!

I had "Snow Much Fun" (hahaha) making this card. Glittery snowflakes and cute snow people-can't go wrong with that!!

Up next on the hop is my super talented friend, Lynnea, who will knock your socks off!!

But before you go, check out how you can win some fabulous prizes!!

All you have to do is leave some love on each stop of the hop, easy right??! Pink & Main is giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to one lucky commenter and WOW Embossing Powders is giving away a set of 6 embossing powders with carry case!!!

Winners will be announced on the Pink&Main and Wow Embossing Powders Blogs on Wednesday, October 22nd at 9:00 am EST.  Good Luck, my friends!!

Thank you for stopping in today...enjoy the hop!!!!
