Sale applies to items in stock only.

You have arrived from the lovely Miss Kendra's Blog!!

I'm pretty sure I've told you before that I amassed most of my MCT stash during these 48 hour sales!!  It's a great time to shop!!

The set we are showcasing today is awesome!  It has a great frame die with a couple of other icons which go perfectly with the sentiment stamp set!  What I love most about this set is that while it contains your "run of the mill" congrats sentiments, it also has unique ones like, "adoption of your fur baby" or "congrats on the new you".  You won't find sentiments like that anywhere else!

I combined this set with the older Home Sweet Home Stamp and Die Set.

The frame fits perfectly on a 3.5 X 3.5 inch note card.  To create a small scene, I used the new Floating Cloud Dies and the previously released Stitched Grass Die.

After adhering the white frame to an ivory card base, the "congrats" was hard to read, so I die cut just the top portion of the frame again from white cardstock and added some colour with markers.

I think this is a great sized card to attach to a housewarming gift!

I hope you enjoyed my project for today!!

Up next is the amazing Miss Ruthie!!

Just Cards!! With My Creative Time!

I'm back today with another project for My Creative Time!!  The theme today is "Just Cards"!  For today's project, I combined an older set of dies with one of the newest stamp sets to create a fun encouragement card!

What was nice was that I already had all those stars die cut and just waiting to be used on a project!!  I took a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it down with the largest of the More Stitched Rectangular Dies.  I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment along with a bit of masking to ink up that awesome sentiment from the new Amazing Things Stamp and Die Set.

I added some glitter pen to all the stars along with the "brilliant" portion of the sentiment.  And to finish off, a spattering of clear sequins!

It's a simple design, but I kind of like how it turned out and I hope you do too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! See you VERY soon :)

Birthday Palooza with My Creative Time!!

Hello, friends and welcome back!!  I'm back to share a fun yet clean and simple birthday card using some fabulous goodies from My Creative Time!!  This card features quite a bit of die cutting along with a few stamped images!

I started by cutting a white card front down with the second largest of the Stitched Postage Frame Dies.  In the centre of that panel, I die cut the word "celebrate" which comes from the Tag Die Layers Set.

On a white card base, I used the polka dot stencil from the A Sunny Hello Kit (which is still available for purchase!!), and Broken China Distress Ink.  Before foam mounting the die cut panel, I inked a scrap piece of cardstock with the same ink and glued it behind the "celebrate".  I wanted a solid colour so it was easy to read. I also stamped the "your day" in black ink which comes from the Just Because Stamp and Die Set.

I was actually going to leave the card like that!! But I decided it was a bit TOO clean and simple so I added some flowers from the A Beautiful Day Stamp and Die Set.

I used the Broken China Distress Ink to add the colour and also added some darker detail with a blue coloured pencil.  The leaves come from the Stitched Pretty Flowers and Leaves Die Set which were inked with Crushed Olive Distress Ink.

A bit of glitter pen to the flowers and a few black gems finish this card off!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I love it when you visit!!

See you soon!!

Create A Smile Stamps Challenge...Monochrome!

Welcome back to another challenge hosted by Create a Smile Stamps!!  This challenge is to create a monochromatic project.

I started by using Black Soot Distress Ink and the Focal Point Stencil on a white panel cut with one of the Scalloped Rectangles Cool Cuts.  I made a little scene by creating a cat and dog "snow animal" using the Made of Snow Stamp Set.

I used Cool Grey Copic markers to colour the images in.  I thought it would be fun to use the Small Sentiments Set to create a conversation between the two.  These sentiments are made to work with the Speech Bubbles Cool Cuts, which is one of my favourite die sets!

I foam mounted all the images to the ink blended panel.  To add a bit more black, I added a strip of cardstock that I inked up with the Black Soot ink.  I adhered the panel to a white card base that's approximately 3.25 X 5.5 inches.

I finished the card off with a few clear sequins, white accents with a gel pen and a bit of Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the noses and buttons.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge!! I love seeing what you're creating!!  Simply visit the Create A Smile Challenge Blog to upload your project!!

Pink and Main 5th Birthday Blog Hop!!!!

Welcome my friends!! Today is a super special day as we are celebrating the 5th Birthday for Pink & Main!!  I've been on the design team for close to a year and have loved every minute of it!! Michelle is such a delight as well as all her amazing products.  So, Happy Birthday to this amazing company!!

Today, is also release day so the products used on my card today, are available to purchase!

I stamped a background panel using the new Party Balloons Stamp Set.  This also has co-ordinating dies but I didn't use them.  I love the solid images and the separate stamps to decorate them. I cut down the stamped panel with one of the Stitched Rectangles Set 2 Dies.

There's a new interactive element die set available today called the Pull and Flip Dies.  It creates a waterfall effect on your cards and is super cool!  The star, present and party hat dies on this card all come from this set. In retrospect, I should have used different colours on these die cuts to make them stand out a bit more.  To help a bit, I cut a Scalloped Rectangle Die from a piece of vellum and used foam tape to adhere them.

I heat embossed the sentiment (also from the Party Balloons Set) onto the vellum, then used liquid glue behind the star, present and party and adhered to the balloon panel.

I added a few Rainbow Glossy Dots for a bit of shine. If you are new to these, I highly recommend them! There is nothing else like them on the market :)

Now, onto the fun stuff...PRIZES!!

Pink & Main is kindly giving away a $50 store credit to FIVE lucky, random commenters!! Please note:  You must comment on every stop of the hop to qualify to win!!  Good luck!

Here is the entire blog hop lineup!!

My Creative Time 89th Edition Release Blog Hop!!

Today is the day we celebrate the latest release from My Creative Time!  As you've seen from the sneak peeks, it's an amazing one!! You should have arrived from the lovely Miss Kendra's blog. But you can find the full hop list here.

Today, I'm showing you the new Lucky Bird Die.  I love this little die so much!  It will be a great addition to your stash of dies!

I went with a bit of a rainbow theme for my card today.  I used a variety of inks to create rainbow stripes of paper which I adhered behind a heart cut out.

I coloured the bird using alcohol markers because I wanted a nice bright look.  The branch comes from the new A Friend Like You Stamp and Die Set. I love how this little bird goes with EVERYTHING in this release!!

I white heat embossed the sentiment, which is from the Friend Like You Set. I probably should have waited a little longer for the ink to dry before I stamped as I had a few strays of embossing powder.  I added some leaves from the Stitched Pretty Flowers and Leaves Die Set.  I think adding these small leaves really makes a huge difference!

And that's my card for you today!!  Up next on the hop is the talented Miss Ruthie!!!

My Creative Time 89th Edition Sneak Peek Day Three!!

Welcome to the last day of sneak peeks for the 89th Edition Release from My Creative Time!!  This sneak happens to be the freebie this month and you won't want to miss it!! I'll have more details at the end of this post on how to get this die for free.

This little die is called Lucky Bird and will be free for the first 25 shoppers! Hint: Shop early :)

This card combines elements from all the new release items.  I used the branch from the A Friend Like You Set and the sentiment comes from the Amazing Things Stamp Set.  For some quick colouring of the bird, I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers.  To complete the branch, I used a die from the Stitched Pretty Flowers and Leaves Die Set.

I adhered the darling birdie on the largest doily from the Bunch of Stitched Doily Dies which I loosely watercoloured with a watercolour crayon from Lyra.  I decided to use some woodgrain cardstock that I've had in my stash forever.  I cut a panel to fit the front of the A2 card base.

The sentiment was heat embossed on a strip of black paper and everything was adhered using foam adhesive.

I love this cute bird die and I think you will too!!

My Creative Time 89th Edition Sneak Peek Day Two!!

Welcome, it's Sneak Peek Day Two for My Creative Time!!  You won't be disappointed with what's being peeked today!!

We are showcasing the brand new Amazing Things Stamp Set along with the new Butterfly Dies!!  These go together perfectly!  And you are going to LOVE the sentiments in this set!

I used the Floating Cloud Dies that we took a look at yesterday.  I love how these nestle into corners!!  This card is a bit of an unusual size due to a cutting error but I think it's actually quite nice. It measures 6 X 3 inches.

I used Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink for the panel along with some water droplets.  The sentiment is gorgeous and was white heat embossed after the panel was dry.

Now, let's talk about those butterflies!  I love the stitching detail and how the inner portion of the wings are able to flip up.  I should mention that there is a large butterfly die in this set that I didn't use!!

This card came together quickly as it took no time at all to do the colouring with Distress Oxides Inks and a little bit of die cutting!!  But the result is so pretty!!

I hope you are enjoying the peeks so far!! Tomorrow we will have one more peek and then Friday is the release Blog Hop!!

Thank you for stopping in!! See you tomorrow!

My Creative Time 89th Edition Sneak Peek Day 1

Hello, my friends and welcome!!  Today is Day One of sneak peeks for the latest release from My Creative Time!!  This release is going to blow you away.  It is so beautiful!

Today we are taking a look at two new items. The first is a stamp and die set called Friend Like You and the second is a fabulous set of dies called Floating Cloud Dies.

The Friend Like you set has beautiful bird images that are perfect and fun for colouring along with uplifting and encouraging sentiments.  This set pairs perfectly with the new Floating Cloud Dies, which are going to be my "go to" cloud dies!!

I cut down a watercolored panel using these dies and layered them using a combination of tape runner and foam adhesive.  This gave a pretty cool look.

I hope you enjoyed today's little peek of these soon to be released products!  Come back tomorrow for another sneak...FYI, you're going to love it!!

This Pun's For You Blog Hop!!

Welcome!!  It's time for our monthly blog hop for Scrap 'N Stamp Canada and it's a good one...PUNS!!! Who doesn't like a good pun??  Sometimes they make your eyes roll but mostly they're good for a laugh!!

For my card today, I used the Birthday Bears Stamp Set from My Favourite Things.  This set is full of the most adorable bear images. And while it isn't a new release, this set is definitely one of my faves from MFT.

I went with a fairly clean and simple look today as I wanted that bear to be the main focus of the card.

I did so some simple ink blending to with Peeled Paint Distress Ink to create the illusion of ground and used the Cloud Stencil (also from MFT) along with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for a very light, cloudy background.

I coloured up all the images with my Copic markers and fussy them out as I don't have the co-ordinating dies.

I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the ink blended panel out then layered it on a piece of dark teal cardstock which almost matches the colour of the balloon.

I added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the balloon and a few other areas on the images because I cannot get enough of that stuff!!

To finish off, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the focal panel.  This pun is more cute than funny but does the job just fine!!

Here is the full hop lineup!!  Don't forget to leave each of us some love for your chance at winning a fabulous prize!!!

Scrap N Stamp is kindly offering 8 Punny Prize Packs as well as 1 $50 gift certificate to the SNS store!!

Stamp a Background Challenge--Create A Smile Stamps!

Hi friends!! Welcome to another challenge for Create A Smile Stamps!!  It's another fun one and one of my favourite things to do...stamp a background!!
I chose to use the Funky Feathers Stamp Set for my card today.  This was one of the first CAS sets I bought and love it till this day!!  To start, I cut down some white cardstock to 4.25 X 4.25 inches.  I took a ruler and drew a line corner to corner to find the centre.

I chose one of the stamps and placed it in one of the sections.  I stamped then rotated the cardstock 180 degrees so I got the identical placement on the opposite side.  You do have to remove and place the stamp for the opposite sides.

I flipped the stamp in the opposite direction and lined it up directly over the pencil line in between the stamped feathers. After picking the stamp up with the Misti door, I erased all the pencil lines and continued stamping in this manner.

This is what I ended up with.  I did stamp the feathers in the corners with an acrylic block to finish the pattern.  I should mention that the stamping was done on Bristol Smooth paper with Versaclair Ink (which is waterproof when dry).

I coloured the background with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens for a light watercolour look.  I stamped one of the cute seagulls from the Gull Gang set, also on Bristol and added a bit of grey ink to create some shadows and orange to the feet and beak.

I used foam tape to mount him to a zig zag circle die cut from vellum.  I also used foam tape to adhere the circle to create quite a bit of dimension. I wanted the seagull to stand out from the busy background.

I white heat embossed the sentiments onto black cardstock and trimmed each word out separately. And of course, used foam tape to adhere!  To add a little bit more colour, I die cut a few hearts and used a pink Tombow marker to add some colour.

I added the panel to a 4.25 X 4.25 inch card base.  I added the hearts with foam tape and also decided to add some clear droplets.  A bit of sparkle to the hearts and some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the feet and beak of the gull, finish this card!!

This would make a great Valentine but I think could be given any time of year!!

I hope you'll play along with us!!  I love seeing all the great entries!!

You can find all the details HERE. And remember your playing for a €25 gift certificate to the Create A Smile Stamp Store!!

Thank you for stopping by!! See you soon!
